The issue appears to be caused by a recent commit in EdgeTx 2.7.0 which affects how lua is used to assign values to global variables assigned to flight modes. A far better solution has been found for this though, so please read on. The previous suggestion to fix this, is very far from perfect as it involved downgrading the ETx firmware to 2.6.0 and back to 2.7.1 - and this would need to happen with every model that uses the yaapu widget selected, one by one. When the yaapu widget (1.9.6dev) is configured and run for the first time on a new model in EdgeTx, the yaapu widget screen cycles between the main/HUD screen, and two popup message screens each reading 'initializing.' and 'loading layout.' I have been speaking with Alex (yaapu), and have figured out a work around for the script issue running under EdgeTx 2.7.0 or newer.
